Goat
Wild goats are animals of mountain habitats. They are known as very agile, able to climb bare rocks and survive in sparse vegetation enviornment. Goats are considered wise and intelligent animals with well developed senses. It is assumed that goats were among the first animals domesticated by man. The motif of the goat on gusle instrument is a symbol of the pastoral way of life.

The monument to the heroes of Mojkovac
The monument to the heroes of the Battle of Mojkovac was erected in Mojkovac in 1966 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the battle. The monument represents artistic achievement of sculptor Drago Đurović and architect Mirko Đukić. On Christmas Day 1916, the Montenegrin army defeated stronger Austro-Hungarian army. The heroes of Mojkovac became a symbol of suffering and heroism.
Janko Vukotić
Janko Vukotić (1866-1927) commanded the Army of the Kingdom of Montenegro. He is best known for victory in the Battle of Mojkovac, when Montenegrins forced a numerically superior foe to retreat and Austro-Hungarian offensive was successfully stopped. At the beginning of the First World War, he was the head of the Montenegrin Supreme Command, then the commander of the Herzegovina detachment and the Sandžak army.

Born on May 8, 1958, in Mojkovac, where he lives and works. He is a carpenter by profession, and he has been crafting gusle and woodcarvings for the past forty years. Crafting gusle requires a lot of patience and skill. It takes from 15 to 30 days to make one gusle, depending on the level of details. He creates gusle in a traditional manner, handcrafting the wood using chisels. Gusle are made from a single piece of wood, what contributes to the quality and durability of the craftsmanship. Throughout his career, he has crafted over 50 gusle models.
