The monument to the heroes of Mojkovac

The monument to the heroes of the Battle of Mojkovac was erected in Mojkovac in 1966 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the battle. The monument represents artistic achievement of sculptor Drago Đurović and architect Mirko Đukić. On Christmas Day 1916, the Montenegrin army defeated stronger Austro-Hungarian army. The heroes of Mojkovac became a symbol of suffering and heroism.

Goat

Wild goats are animals of mountain habitats. They are known as very agile, able to climb bare rocks and survive in sparse vegetation enviornment. Goats are considered wise and intelligent animals with well developed senses. It is assumed that goats were among the first animals domesticated by man. The motif of the goat on gusle instrument is a symbol of the pastoral way of life.

"A true craftsman, with rarely skilled hands, has made extraordinary sticks. It is hard to find words to describe the beauty of the wood carvings and the quality of the sticks. With a lot of effort, work, and love, Mr. Đoko Medojević made sticks that will one day be museum objects! His hands are golden!"

"Receptive, responsible, kind, ready to help with the selection, if you are choosing a gift for someone. Immediacy and friendliness are certainly two qualities that set them apart from everyone else, and for that reason they were also the reason for their selection. Very high quality, great sounding gusle, and I will certainly return to them again and wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone! 5* and big BRAVO! [Note: google translate]"

"The first thing that comes to mind is how very flexible everyone has been with shipping. The gusle was supposed to arrive in Prague in 12 days for my husband's birthday. In order for them to succeed, even their uncle, who happened to be visiting them, helped. If it weren't for him, the surprise wouldn't have worked this year for sure. When we finally opened them for the birthday, I was speechless. I bought them through the website, I have never been in their store or ever held a violin in my hands. They are so perfectly made, such a sound comes out of them that we and all our friends here who had the opportunity to see them, were very pleasantly surprised. I bought a gusle quite by accident, which can not only be used as an instrument, but also a beautiful decoration in our living room. I am quite sure that they will be passed on to the next generations with joy and as a great honor. Thank you for that. [Note: google translate]"

"Wonderful people and hosts. I took my grandfather's gusle for repair, not expecting I would enjoy the beauty of the village Kaludra and the local products of the Medojevic family, that I would hear old legends and many historical events.
